Production Team Leader

WIDNES  WA8 0SQ

 

 THE ROLE

Reporting to Supervisory Team Leader & Works Engineer

We are looking for a Production Team Leader / Engineer to operate and maintain one of our automated batching and manufacturing plants as part of a small team. The role will involve completing required quality checks and line adjustments to produce the completed product to the required standard.

 

Duties will include but not be limited to:-

  • Operation of the plant to safe working practices
  • Quality control of the finished product by means of online inspection and measurement
  • Running adjustment to the line to produce product
  • Repairs to line when required
  • Planned preventative maintenance of the equipment
  • Cleaning and lubrication

ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate for this role will be self motivated, enthusiastic and able to work as part of a team.

Suitable candidates will need to have achieved a recognised mechanical engineering qualification as duties will involve the rectification of faults on the line and planned maintenance activities. A working knowledge of hydraulics would be beneficial as well as an FLT licence and the ability to weld.

 

REMUNERATION PACKAGE

Remuneration Package A competitive starting salary of circa £40k along with a basic 22 days holiday rising to 27 over 5 years. Benefits include company pension and a bonus scheme following a qualifying period.

Maintenance Fitter

WIDNES WA8 0SQ

 

 THE ROLE

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, your role as Maintenance Fitter will be responsible for:

  • Responding to plant breakdowns – ensuring assets are returned to production in a timely manner, and temporary fixes are followed up with a permanent solutions.
  • Undertaking emergency breakdown repairs on all production equipment.
  • Owning small scale projects
  • Welding and Fabricating to a good standard
  • Working with risk assessments and method statements
  • Maintaining and promoting Health & Safety rules and regulations, following all company processes and procedures.

 

ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate for the role of Maintenance Fitter will be self-motivated, enthusiastic and able to work with minimal supervision. Suitable candidates will:

  • Have a recognised apprenticeship.
  • Have a strong, practical mechanical systems background, heavy industry preferred - conveyors, drive systems – motors, belts, pumps, gearboxes, crushers, vibratory screens
  • Possess a fault finding ability to identify defects and recommend appropriate action
  • Possess the ability to remove and fit bearings
  • Be capable of undertaking emergency breakdown repairs on all production equipment

 

REMUNERATION PACKAGE

A competitive salary of circa 32k is available for the successful candidate along with a basic 22 days holiday rising to 27 over five years employment. Benefits include company pension and bonus scheme following a qualifying period.
