The Role
You will work closely with site management, drivers and transport operations to receive inert waste material for land recovery and work with the site team to maintain an environmentally responsible operation. This is a full-time role, working 47.5 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor the weighbridge system to maintain accurate digital records of vehicles arriving, materials received and tonnage deposited at the site,
- Ensuring that all documentation is correctly and fully completed,
- Filing documentation to allow traceability of materials received,
- Communicate clearly with drivers and the site team in respect of vehicles and materials arriving at the site.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Experience in waste management operations preferred, (though not essential),
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach to dealing with drivers and site team,
- Computer literate and working with data entry systems, including MS Excel, is essential,
- Excellent attention to detail required and ability to work independently as well as within a team,
- Previous weighbridge or similar operational experience an advantage.
Benefits package
- Salary: £33,345 per annum,
- Hours: 47.5 hours per week,
- Annual leave: 22 paid days, increasing by 1 day per year up to 27 days, (plus statutory holidays),
